There is no such thing as a ‘natural’ disaster, only natural hazards. Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) aims to reduce the damage caused by natural hazards like earthquakes, floods, droughts and cyclones, through an ethic of prevention.

We have been active in the DRR pre-negotiations in Geneva, will be running a Children and Youth Forum before the conference. You can read the latest news from our activities in the DRR process here

Statements and Positions

We have the right to make statements behalf of Children and Youth. We have given statements on different issues and from different perspectives in preparation meetings. You can download the chronological list of all our statements here.

Deputy Organising Partners

Each of our groups is lead by two coordinators who are called “Deputy Organising Partners”. They are selected by the Working Group themselves and hold the role on a personal mandate. We have listed here the organisations that they are involved in for clarity and the regions of the world they come from.
